Corporate actions · corporateaction 1.1

Corporate actions. Stock splits and cash dividends. A split adjusts every open tax lot (quantity times the ratio, unit cost divided by it) on the ex-date; a dividend books cash to each account holding the security. Applied deterministically and undoable with the batch. Key: ref.

Validation #

  1. No DOCTYPE or entity declaration (F002); well-formed UTF-8 (F001).
  2. The namespace and version are published (F007), and the file matches the XSD (F003).
  3. Header: firm is your firm code (F006), businessDate a business day (F005), recordCount the number of records (F004).
  4. Each record: the field checks in the table above, references to records that exist (R109), no key twice in a file (R110). A rejected record does not stop the rest of the file.
  5. Applied on the ex-date: at load time if it has passed, otherwise by the start-of-day chain.
  6. An applied action cannot be changed by a later file; undo its batch instead.
